Because of the unique stature of Powerslam Radio- being the UK's most recognisable Internet wrestling show- the opportunity exists for many exciting advertising opportunities. We are not in direct competition with anyone else in the UK and therefore are able to offer advertisers a unique chance to promote their products to demographics that aren't always catered for elsewhere.

The Internet is one medium wrestling fans have taken full advantage of. Any search for the term "Wrestling" in a search engine returns millions of results, such is the worldwide appeal for the "sport". Within the UK and Europe- there is a huge, yet largely unsatisfied demand for pro-wrestling and all things related. Sky Sports in the UK have invested heavily in wrestling programming over the past decade and many of the shows always bring in the highest viewing figures for the channel(s) on which they are transmitted.

Along with this appeal comes the demand for more. World Wrestling Entertainment tour the UK twice a year and usually perform around 5 shows during that period. Tickets ALWAYS sell-out quickly for these events and many fans are often left disappointed. Yet how many of these fans know about the thriving UK Wrestling Scene in their local area?

TalkSport national radio in the UK embraced the wrestling scene and gave the "WrestleTalk" show a primetime slot every Saturday night. The show was extremely popular with fans of all ages and brought the British Wrestling scene back to the fore. However, as the show was unexpectedly taken off the airwaves late last year, it has left an un-catered niche in the market.

That is where Powerslam Radio comes in.

Since November 2002, we have built up a strong and dedicated fan-base to our fortnightly "Internet-Only" radio show. We have been professional in our promotion of the show and the quality has been extremely good considering our limited budget. Our research shows our listeners are mainly aged between 14-24 with a devoted interest to Wrestling, Computing and Music.

Our presenters and researchers also have many important contacts throughout the wrestling industry- allowing us to bring to the listener, some of the biggest stars in the wrestling world. Past guests have included former WCW and current NWA stars A.J Styles and Christopher Daniels- household names to the audience we cater for. We also have excellent links with the former hosts & production staff of TalkSports "WrestleTalk" show as well as some of the UK's biggest wrestling promotions.

What Does Powerslam Radio Gain From This?

First and foremost, Powerslam Radio is a non-profit project. We pay from our own pockets to produce every radio show, and because of this we are looking of ways to recoup our costs of producing and airing the show. Any monetery incentive received is always put back into the radio show to make it the best product we possibly can. We enjoy what we do and because of that we have the dedication and commitment to carry on producing quality shows.

Some of the improvements we have in mind include:

* Producing a weekly show rather than fortnightly (our dedicated fan base is already demanding this)

* Making the show downloadable as well as streaming
