Powerslam Radio hit the Internet airwaves in September 2002 with an explosive brand of wrestling news, opinion and hard-hitting interviews right here on Powerslam.co.uk. The show began shortly before the demise of TalkSport's national wrestling radio show "WrestleTalk" but quickly picked up where WrestleTalk had left off, giving UK fans a wrestling audio show to be proud of!

TNA Superstar "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles was the first of some very high profile guests to join hosts Vik and Freaky. Over the coming months, many more famous names followed in his footsteps including WWE star Mick Foley, WCW star Juventud Guerrera, Ex-WWE superstar D'Lo Brown and current TNA Superstar Christopher Daniels to name but a few!

To start off, Vik and Freaky produced a fortnightly show available every Sunday night via streaming audio. As word of mouth spread, through the UK Fan Forum and with the help of ex-TalkSport WrestleTalk personalities Alex Shane, Dean Ayass and Simon Lilsboy- PS Radio very quickly became THE #1 wrestling talkshow in the UK!

The UK fans demanded more and in early 2003, Powerslam Radio became a weekly, downloadable show! Listeners could now download the show from Powerslam.co.uk and listen to it anytime they wished. This has now been expanded to included Podcasts so listeners can now take their favourite wrestling talkshow with them on their MP3 players!

So how is Powerslam Radio produced? Well the brains behind most of it is host Vikram Sangar. After the success of his wrestling website Lordsofpain.co.uk, Vikram was given many opportunties to meet and interview wrestlers from all around the world. So instead of sitting on the audio for all these interviews, Vik decided to start up Powerslam Radio!

Building on the success of Powerslam Radio, Vik has gone on to successfully produce FWA Radio for the Frontier Wrestling Alliance- another Internet audio show focusing fully on Britain's most exciting wrestling promotion!

So what does the future hold for Powerslam Radio? Well the future is bright...we're always on the lookout for fresh new ideas and always keen to grab a great wrestling interview should the opportunity arise! Currently Vik and Freaky produce every show out of their own pockets and are always on the lookout for sponsors and potential advertisers to help with the cost of producing the weekly show.
