Now there’s a multitalented and individualistic
Slytherin. Not only does he have an unusual family
line, he's also a Parselmouth. He was so smart and
skilled that he excelled in everything. He seems
like a typical wizard just trying to finish school.
Well, if that's what all he wanted, he wouldn’t
have been in Slytherin.
Tom Riddle was born to a Muggle father, Tom Riddle
Sr. and a witch mother. His father left his mother
after she revealed to him that she was a witch.
His mother died while giving birth to him so Tom
was sent and raised in a Muggle orphanage. He never
had a visitor since, even his father. So, I guess
we can say that he is a half-blood.
Upon arriving at Hogwarts, he immediately made it
his home. He gained a lot of friends—friends
he could never have in the Muggle world. He did
very well in his classes and got top marks all the
time. He liked reading and was especially fascinated
about Dark Magic. Sounds typical huh? That’s
just his outer self.
He learned about the Chamber of Secrets and began
to search for it. His search made him learn new
things about himself. All these discoveries meant
only one thing: he was the Heir of Salazar Slytherin.
 It
took him 5 years to discover that and find the Chamber
of Secrets. He didn’t know what to do with
his newfound ability until he came across the Basilisk.
Tom knew that Salazar’s mission was to eliminate
all Muggle-borns and it was his duty as his Heir
to finish this mission. He tried to complete what
Salazar had started but he only succeeded once.
Very determined, Tom completely changed his life.
A change in life means a change in name. That is
exactly what he did. He gave himself the name, Lord
Voldemort while still in Hogwarts, finally being
able to get rid of his father's Muggle name.
He came back to his father and killed him along
with his grandparents. His father's bone was used
as an ingredient for a potion that revived Voldemort
again. |
