House By Mon |
Slytherin
house, the most infamous house in Hogwarts School
of Witchcraft and Wizardry headed by the Potions
Master himself, professor Severus Snape. Green and
Silver are the two colors that define them while
the Serpent is their house's animal as you can see
in the Slytherin house's logo. Their common room
is pretty much like a dungeon with the two house's
colors as the color scheme from everything to their
lamps, chairs, etc. Bloody Baron, Slytherin's very
own resident ghost can be seen wandering around
the Slytherin dungeon.
Slytherins are known to be cunning witches and wizards...
They will do everything to achieve their goals even
if this means being evil to the eyes of others.
They possess blind loyalty to each other and determination
to accomplish what they need to do. It is because
of these traits that Slytherin house was associated
to being evil because most of its students tends
to succeed too much with their goals resulting into
their corruption. All of these traits are very evident
to every Slytherins... Draco's never ending quest
to crush Potter, Crabbe and Goyle's unwavering loyalty
to their best friend Draco, Slytherin Quidditch
team's perseverance to win resulting to their "dirty"
type of playing, professor Snape's way of teaching,
etc. The sorting hat describes Slytherin as:
"Or perhaps in Slytherin
They made their real friends
These cunning folks use any means
To achieve their ends." |

| Salazar
Slytherin By Mara |
There
isn’t really wrong with making a school exclusive.
It’s a way of preserving our culture. That’s
what Cambodia did during the French colonization.
Salazar Slytherin’s exclusivity may be caused
by personal reasons like his anger and hatred for
Muggles and probably envy.
People do have their opinions and Salazar’s
was a bit... Ambitious. His ideals and thoughts
on Muggles and Muggle-borns must have a basis. In
his case, it must’ve been bad memories as
a child. Note that during his time, people weren’t
educated very much. They don’t like what they
don’t know. When witchcraft was performed,
it was an unusual sight for Muggles. Because of
this, their uneducated knowledge turned to fear
then later turned to hatred.
Salazar is a Parselmouth. He excelled very highly
in Potions and at a young age, he learned Dark Magic.
Nobody knows where he got it. Some say he hated
Muggles so much that it was reflected through the
things that he did.
Because of the situation in the Muggle world, he
sought out refuge but found none. A complete turnaround
in his life was meeting Godric Gryffindor, Helga
Hufflepuff and Rowena Ravenclaw. They decided to
found Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
He
never knew what Muggle-borns really were until he
had a glimpse of them at the welcoming feast. Seeing
that Purebloods were mixed with non-magic bloods,
he believed that only Pureblood witches and wizards
should be allowed to attend Hogwarts and because
of this, he got into a dispute against Godric...
Eventually, he left. Before leaving, he built a
chamber called the Chamber of Secrets which only
his one true Heir can open. The purpose of this
chamber was to purge the school of all Muggle-borns.
Nonetheless, Salazar Slytherin was the wisest among
the four founders. He was often the decision-maker.
He worked the hardest because his commitment was
far greater than any of them. He knew his priorities
and never let anything go in between him and it. |

| Bloody
Baron By Mon |
Bloody
Baron, Slytherin house's resident ghost can be described
as a grim, silent and terrifying fellow. He is covered
with bloodstains and he never talks. Peeves respect
him a lot by calling him "Your Bloodiness"
and "Mr. Baron" because of an unknown
reason. No one knows where the blood stains came
from but according to HPL,
it may be from a unicorn because of its silvery
color. |

Team By Mon |
Slytherin's
Quidditch team is headed by Marcus Flint serving
as the Team Captain and one of the Chasers. The
team's main strategy is to over power their opponents
and with the help of their Nimbus 2001 (Courtesy
of Lucius Malfoy), be on top of their opponents
always. In short, they play dirty and you can be
sure that each and every one of them will do everything
to win even if it means playing rough and cheating.
Slytherin's team favors brawns over skills and they
don't have any girl players. Because of this, Slytherin
house won the Quidditch Cup 7 years in a row until
Gryffindor defeated them and ended their winning
streak. Here are the Slytherin's Quidditch team
rosters:
- Bletchley - Keeper
- Bole - Beater
- Derrick - Beater
- Marcus Flint - Team Captain and Chaser
- Terence Higgs - Seeker (Replaced by Draco Malfoy)
- Draco Malfoy - Seeker
- Montague - Chaser
- Adrian Pucey - Chaser
- Warrington - Chaser
