Ars Falcis News and Updates

March 5th, 2007 -- A link to the journal Other Voices has been added in the Links page, and the books The Case for Ghosts and Greek Divination have been added to the Sources page. An additional FAQ has been added to the Contact page as well to explain the differentiation between Links and Sources as they are used here.

February 7th, 2007 -- Updates have been made to the links on the Sources page to scrub broken links and replace them with functional ones. I can not ever guarantee all links will always be functional but hopefully they are work more often than not.

August 19th, 2006 -- It seems Brinkster has realized what a poor choice it was to institute ads on the site and has graciously removed any trace of them. This is certainly a good turn of events and now I have no further thoughts of moving the site.

September 18th, 2005 -- Contact information has been updated on the site to correctly reflect my current email address. Occultmail died without warning, unfortunately, and now use gmail instead for general purpose messaging.

June 26th, 2005 -- A link to the text Lives of the Necromancers, by William Godwin, has been added to the Sources page.

November 20th, 2004 -- This site, in its entirety, has been archived by a third party and is now properly copyright material.

January 6th, 2004 -- The #Occult_Knowledge IRC channel, on Dalnet and Undernet, will tenatively host discussions related to Ars Falcis and Falcian necromancy. If you wish to meet other necromancers, or occultists in general, feel free to stop by and chat for a while.

October 30th, 2003 -- Unfortunately, though Ars Falcis has finally shaped into something people seem to appreciate, Brinkster decided it would be a good idea to start putting ads on their free hosting pages just like every other free host out there. It is no longer an exceptional host, and indeed is now rather restrictive (no PHP, no CGI). I am giving serious thought to moving Ars Falcis off this host in the near future given this little surprise. Please be aware of the potential relocation as options are being considered. According to the Brinkster contract as it was presented when the webspace for Ars Falcis was registered, Brinkster would have NO ads of any sort on the page, and so it was for the first month and a half. Exercising their right to pull radical changes to the end user agreement, Brinkster has now turned themselves into a poor copy of Geocities with the introduction of this new popup ad. I am not at all impressed since no other feature kept me interested in using this host. It seemed like a good idea initially, and was one at the time, but now has degraded to offer the same drawbacks as any other generic host.

October 22nd, 2003 -- The complete site has been available to everyone for a few weeks now. Suggestions welcomed.

September 27th, 2003 -- The complete site is now available to proofreaders. It has been completely spellchecked, top to bottom on every page, and should contain no spelling mistakes in a Canadian spellchecker. Errors of syntax or grammatical mistakes may still exist. Do not distribute the URL quite yet, as some ideas may need revision, but otherwise everything is to be assumed to be in its final form. Please report any errors or suggestions while the site is still closed-circuit.
